Easter is always a mystery. Every year we are forced to ask ourselves the same questions. Questions like:
Will you get to eat your body weight in chocolate?
When do you toss your… pancakes?
What the heck is Simnel Cake?
What day is it? (Ask anyone what date Easter Sunday is next year and unless they are devoutly religious they would have to Google it.)
But scientists have today announced that they have solved one of the great Easter dilemmas – do you go for a Bunny or an Easter Chick?
Imaginatively named a Chunny, this beautiful little creature is a cross between the Easter bunny and an Easter chick.
“We decided to see if we could combine the best bits of both animals”, explained super brained scientist Professor Don Tinkering.
“We started with a fluffy baby chick and worked hard to illuminate the scratchy beak and replace it with the lovely soft ears and twitchy nose of a bunny.”
“We decided to call it a Chunny because a Bick sounded a bit rude, “ added Professor Tinkering’s research colleague Mr Seekum Out.
“We are sure that once the public see our Chunnies, they will all want one. “
There is no denying that baby Chunnies are very cute and if you would like to own one you will just need to part with a cool $500,000. This means that they will be very affordable and therefore popular amongst the Hollywood elite.
“We can’t wait for someone to buy one,” added Professor Tinkering. “We are excited to see what the adult Chunny will look like – let’s hope it doesn’t backfire on us like last time!”
