Lady Gaga shows her Bean Face

Lady Gaga shows her new Bean Face

Last night, pop star Lady Gaga once again shocked the world by wearing a Mr Bean inspired look to her local supermarket. The poker face pop star is well known for her unique fashion sense having controversially worn a meat bikini on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan and a meat dress at the MTV Video Music Awards last year. Critics however, are warning that this time Lady Gaga has taken things a little too far.

“Lately, Lady Gaga has been having a hard time keeping her act ‘over the top,’” said Fashion Critic, Chase Infame (54). “Wearing a dress made out of cuts of dead cows is offensive enough but with this outfit she is, even by her own standards, taking a bit of a fashion risk. Mr Bean is a well loved TV character and parodying him is bound to cause a stir. She is in danger of offending many of Mr Bean’s fans.”

Indeed, Lady Gaga’s own fans will be left wondering what she has meant by this latest fashion statement.

“Maybe her new Bean Face is her way of saying she is as naive and gormless as Mr Bean,” suggested Chase Infame, “Or perhaps she is trying to apologise for her meat inspired outfits – I mean a bean is a vegetable after all.”

Bag-ette – the bag you can eat!

The Bag-ette - an ideal place to keep your dough

Fashion designers are well known for creating collections of unusual garb that although eye-catching on the cat walk have no practical purpose in our everyday lives. Who can forget Bjork’s swan dress or Britney Spears in her tartan diapers? However, in honour of Paris Fashion week, which started yesterday, Yarpnews thought we would share with our readers one of the more useful fashion designs, which is sure to become the toast of the high street.

The clever design team at Katja Gruijters (www.katjagruijters.nl) has used their loaf to come up with this handy bag-ette. This stylish bag is certainly a cut above the rest, made from bread, it’s a great place to store your dough and should you get hungry when you’re out and about, you’ve already got your hands on the beginnings of one great sandwich.

Whichever way you slice it, you can’t have your bag and eat it, but maybe that’s not such a crumby idea. Hopefully a larger suitcase version will soon be in development, so if you’re flying abroad and end up with excess baggage, you can eat it.

A fishy shoe tale to soothe your soul

Fish flops, the stinky shoes that soothe your soul

The very newest in footwear fashion is causing a storm on the cat walk and among cats in general because the latest look uses fish as its inspiration.

“I feel that most shoes have no soul,” simpered self absorbed Fashion Designer Fin Marlin, “it’s not my plaice to dis other designers, but my designs are not only inspired by fish, they are made from them.”

Mr Marlin’s range of shoes includes fish flops, herring bone sandals and red snapper stilettos.  The designer prides himself in using authentic materials and so each pair of shoes is genuinely unique.

“I only use real fish products in my designs. If you own a pair of my shoes you can guarantee that you will know that you are wearing a one-off original. They are so elite that most people can’t afford to wear them – you know you’ve made it when you’ve got your foot in a Marlin.”

Fortunately, for fashionistas Mr Marlins designs look, feel and smell like they have just come straight from the sea. So if you do manage to save up enough money to afford to buy a pair of Marlin shoes you will be able to confirm that they are original by the long line of cats that will suddenly show interest in your feet. The shoes are also bio-degradable and so if you ever get bored of them, you can always bury them in your garden 🙂

HBA or ‘Hairy Back Art’ is even trendier than having a tattoo

A stylish number 8 design

On the fashionable beaches of Europe the surprisingly warm weather has seen the emergence of a new trend in body art. Less permanent than a tattoo, but proving to be just as popular, HBA or ‘Hairy Back Art’ has become the latest ‘must have’ look.

This big guy isn't afraid to show his heart

First spotted on the beaches and boardwalks of St Tropez, France – a town noted for inventing the G-string bikini, HBA has spread throughout Europe and it is set to take America by storm very soon.

“The back is a great canvas,” explained HBA Artist, Shaveen Derrière (24), “And we artists can create beautiful masterpieces. My work is very spiritual; I like to think that they are crop circles for the soul.

“HBA has become the trendiest look for today’s modern man,” gushed Mr Derrière. “And it is much cheaper than shaving.”
